Founder / Practitioner of The Lerner Method

Author, innovator, TEDx speaker, army veteran and a Practitioner in the Field of Integrative Medicine helping people facing Cancer, Addiction and Dependency recover over the past 20 years.

I come alongside individuals impacted by addiction and dependency to help them resolve and overcome the many challenges embedded in their recovery journey. Some of these challenges are physical, others are emotional, even existential.

My belief is that for true and lasting recovery we must transcend the traditional and mechanistic view of addiction, and recognize it is a whole person event. Addiction highlights our inherent need to grow and evolve. It propels us to look deep within our mind so we can begin to live more authentically.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve helped people facing cancer who wanted to play a more active role in their recovery, a safe, discreet, practical, meaningful and effective path to do so through my work at Dana-Ferber’s Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and my Boston MA private practice.

As meaningful as my work to support cancer patients was, and still is, I feel called to broaden the scope of The Lerner Method to support those fighting to regain their freedom from addiction and dependency.

The potential for recovery goes beyond simply submitting to treatment. Your state of Mind is your greatest ally in the recovery process” – Avinoam Lerner
